At Capture, we’re lucky to not only visit some of New England’s finest properties, but also explore them, square foot by square foot. We do this in order to give the viewers of our 3D tours the most realistic, immersive, way to experience a property online. Our 3d Tours that we call Captur3d-Tours™ are powered by Matterport. Our tours give viewers a self-guided 3d walkthrough with a 360-degree perspective of every room inside a property, including a unique dollhouse view and a top-down floor plan.
In June, we were lucky to visit 4 Viewpoint Lane in Ellington, Connecticut.
Come inside and explore this luxurious European-style Mansion for yourself!
Nestled in the woods overlooking the western part of Snipsic Lake sits a European-style mansion fit for a fairytale. The $3.5 Million, 9200-square-foot dwelling at 4 Viewpoint Lane boasts 14 rooms and eight bathrooms, not to mention an outdoor vanishing edge pool, small pond and waterfall, and a wooden pergola.
It’s a cross between an Italian villa and a home in the south of France – a building that Project Manager Scott E. Kozuch called the “Chateau de Ellington.”
And its a project that in 2007, garnered Tolland builder Alan D. Williams a prestigious state builders’ award.
The 3-story home comes with sparkling chandeliers, a built-in reef aquarium, a cherry wood library with a coffer ceiling, a cedar sauna and a patio and balcony looking over Snipsic Lake. The details are endless.
And what chateau would be complete without a wine cellar? In the lower level, a spacious, temperature-controlled room stores homemade wine in French oak barrels.
Most of the materials – ranging from Brazilian cherry wood used on stairway railings to fossilized Jerusalem limestone in the spa room, were carefully selected.
The 4 Viewpoint Lane home received a certificate for the best custom home in the 9,000-10,000 square foot category on November 6, 2007 in a statewide builder’s contest put on by the Home Builders Association of Connecticut.
