Matterport is pleased to announce that 3D Showcases are now featured on Zillow.
By properly displaying your Matterport content as a 3D tour, you’ll be able to fully leverage your 3D content on a national real estate and rental marketplace.
This is a big win for the use of 3D models in property marketing, as Inman News’ Teke Wiggins reports. “Zillow users who visit listing pages with 3D models can access the models by clicking a tab that says ‘Launch 3D Tour’ that sits just beneath listing photos, or by clicking an image showing an image of a 3D model that appears under a listing’s property details.”
Matterport 3D models are a significant improvement over other panorama-based virtual tours, because only Matterport creates an entire 3D model of a property. This is why when you’re moving through a Matterport 3D Showcase, you feel like you’re actually there. Movement feels natural, and you get a real sense for how the space feels.
Ensure your models are displayed properly on Zillow
There are three different ways your Matterport Showcase can be displayed on Zillow.
- Claim the listing on Zillow, and update via your MLS/broker site.
- Claim the listing on Zillow, and update directly on Zillow.
- Create a new “for sale” listing on Zillow and add the Matterport URL link.

We’re very excited for this development and its implications for the expanded use of innovative, immersive media like Matterport’s in residential real estate marketing.
